Why did you join Movement Exchange?

Movement Exchange nationals came to Chapman wanting to start a chapter. I was immediately inspired by the mission of the organization. I have always loved the idea of using dance as a service opportunity and thought this would be the perfect fix. At the same time I started to get sick. I had been sick for a while and was not able to physically dance. When Movement Exchange came to me, I knew this would be my way to continue dance in my life even if not in the physical form. This organization and chapter has shown me the amazing work dance and service can do.

How can dance change the world?

Dance is not only an art but is a true expression. It is important for any human to express themselves through an art and dance allows for people to live. Dance is a story that can be universally shared.

What is your favorite thing about Movement Exchange?

I love seeing that dancers who have performed their whole lives have a passion to share their love and joy for dance.

What makes the Chapman University chapter of Movement Exchange unique?

The Chapman University Move-Ex chapter is new but excited to bring our dance skills into communities to share our passion.
